To allow moderation or review we need some personal data for your identification, applications and submissions. We created a database holding user information to relieve you of multiple completion of vast forms. The user information will be copied from your record whenever needed.

Why should I log in?

You need to log in to:

Registration

If you don't have an account on this site yet, you have to register and provide the requested information. If you want to subscribe to the maillinglist, you have to check the "Add me to the mail-list". After pressing the "submit button" at the bottom of the registration form the system will inform you about success or failure and ask you if you want an automatic log in.

Forgotten password

If you do not remember or know your password, fill in your email at the top of the login page and click on the "Forgotten" button. Your password will be send to you by e-mail.

Events

About events

The system is intended to keep the Belgian Neuroscience community informed about upcoming events (meetings, courses, workshops, public defences ...) related to the field which are organized in Belgium. The system can be used by non profit organizations, companies or private persons.

Information is entered trough a convenient web-interface.

After approval by the moderator the stored information is made available trough a web-interface and send to the members of the mailinglist. In this way spam and unrelated material is filtered out.

How to announce a event?

To announce an event you need an account. If you don't have an account yet, you have to register first, otherwise you can go straight to the login page.

After log in follow the link "Event(s) to announce". The first time you enter an event you will be guided directly to the appropriate form. Otherwise you will go through an intermediate page showing a list of all your previous entered events and their approved status. Only unapproved events can be changed by the owner. Press the "Add" button to create a new event.

Instructions

Here we need to appeal to your advertiser skills, be brief and descriptive.

The title and type will have a very prominent place on the web-page and in the email send to the mail-list, its a focus-point, here you need to catch the attention of your audience.

Location, use the name that is commonly known, you can be more precise in the Full address - field.

Url route, can be a page on your site, the conference room site, or since most on-line route-planners allow you to copy there "map-url" you can use this too.

Please know that the Organizer/Advertiser section is not shown on the public pages, it's for moderation only.

Mailinglist

About the mailing list

The mailinglist, is part of the events announcement system, events announced on the web pages will be automatically sent to all members of the mailing list.
At the other hand the mailing list can be used for mailings regarding Belgian neuroscience issues to the community. Events though can only be submitted using the events announcements system.

Using the mailing list

To post a message to all the members of the list, send email to neuroscience-belgium@neuroinformatics.be.

You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Subscribing to the mailing list

Similar to the working of most mailing lists, you can subscribe by sending a mail with "subscribe" in the body to neuroscience-belgium-requestatneuroinformatics.be. However we disencourage this procedure since the list is only part of a bigger system. Please know that postings to the list will not appear on the web-pages.

Changing your email-address

If you want mail from the list sent to an email-address different from your regular one, you can change the address used in the mailing list independently from the email-address used by the announcement system. To change your email-address you need to be registered first, afterwards you can change the email-address used by the mailing list on this page.

Unsubscribe from the mailing list

You can unsubscribe from the mailinglist using this page.
